KL Rahul Captaining India, Virat Kohli Misses Out Due To Upper Back Spasm

In a media release, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) introduced that fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had been appointed vice-captain for the 2nd Test.

"The BCCI clinical crew will be monitoring him throughout the course of this Test match. KL Rahul will captain the side in his absence. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Jasprit Bumrah as vice-captain for the 2nd Test," the BCCI launch said.

The BCCI also printed that Shreyas Iyer was once now not in competition for selection for the enjoying XI due to a belly bug.

"Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer used to be also ruled out of choice for the 2nd Test owing to a stomach bug."
