सुनील गावस्कर भारत बनाम दक्षिण अफ्रीका दूसरे टेस्ट में एक और चेतेश्वर पुजारा-अजिंक्य रहाणे फ्लॉप शो के बाद बड़ा बयान देता है

 

भारत के पूर्व कप्तान और महान सुनील गावस्कर ने कहा कि संघर्षरत भारतीय दिग्गज चेतेश्वर पुजार और अजिंक्य रहान के लिए “एक ट्रायल करियर बचाने” का एक और मौका हो सकता है। गावस्कर ने एक कमेंट्री में कहा कि पुजारा और रहान ने जोहान्सबर्ग में भारत और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच दूसरे टेस्ट मैच के पहले दिन के पहले सत्र के खेल के दौरान डुआने ओलिवियर की गेंदबाजी की एक श्रृंखला को छोड़ दिया।

  पुजारा ने 33 में से 3 पिचों पर फायर किया जब ओलिवियर ने स्टंप के बाहर एक शॉर्ट डिलीवरी की, जहां उनका बल्ला पुजारा के कंधे पर लगा। गेंद हवा में घूमी और टेम्बा बावुमा ने उसे आसानी से पकड़ लिया। यह एक चिंतित बल्लेबाज द्वारा एक असहाय प्रयास की तरह लग रहा था। पहले ही अगली सर्विस पर, रहान ने अनिश्चित रूप से स्टंप को धक्का दिया, लेकिन कीगन पीटरसन ने तीसरी गलती पर उन्हें पकड़ लिया। वह एक सुनहरी बत्तख के लिए तरस रहा था।

  गावस्कर ने कहा, "इन दो छंटनी के बाद, मैं कह सकता हूं कि पुजारा और रहान दोनों के पास टेस्ट करियर बनाने का मौका है।"

 “टीम में उनकी जगह के बारे में एक सवाल था और अब इन दो क्लीनअप के साथ उनके पास केवल एक पारी बची है। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान ने कहा, "केवल एक और पारी है, और अगर भारत जाता है, तो मुझे लगता है कि एक और होगी।"

कोहली के पीठ के ऊपरी हिस्से में ऐंठन के कारण बाहर होने के बाद दूसरे टेस्ट मैच में खनुमा विहारी ने कप्तान विराट कोहली की जगह एकादश मैच में जगह बनाई।

 पु जारा जनवरी 2019 से परिवीक्षाधीन अवधि पर नहीं है, जबकि रहान पिछले एक-एक साल से अच्छी स्थिति में नहीं है।
